Hundreds of needy families among the residents of Holon and Bat Yam will celebrate the coming Passover in a comfortable and honorable fashion, thanks to the support they have received from the “Hasdei Naomi” Charity Organization.
Thousands of kilos of kosher for Passover food products have been distributed by the “Hasdei Naomi” Charity Organization to hundreds of needy families among the residents of Holon and Bat Yam, within the frame of the Mitzvah of “Passover alms to the poor”.
Hundreds of families receive every single week a food basket, which includes fruit, vegetables and basic food products, and this, helps them survive and cope with the daily difficulties of life. Towards the Passover Holiday, these families and tens of additional families, orphans, widows and Holocaust survivors will receive an enlarged basket, which will have been packed by the dear volunteers at the “Hasdei Naomi” Organization emergency storage in Bnei Brak. This basket includes matzos, wine, 10 kilos of meat and poultry, a large variety of dairy and canned food products, spreads, sugar, oil, sweets and all that is needed in order to fulfill the Passover Holiday in a comfortable and honorable fashion.
Mrs. Miri Yehuda, who operates the Holon – Bat Yam distribution center of the “Hasdei Naomi” Organization indicates that for many families this food basket has represented a true rescue, and she said “there are families, who told me that if they had not received the “Hasdei Naomi” Organization food basket, they would have to eat only matzos and drink water during the whole Passover Holiday! We have here in Holon and Bat Yam some families in real distress, many widows, sick and needy people, for whom the help they receive from the “Hasdei Naomi” Organization is their last resort”.
The representatives of the Municipal Department of Welfare, who are always in contact and always cooperating with the “Hasdei Naomi” Organization, came to help with the distribution and even transported in their private cars some of the needy persons, who could not carry by themselves the food basket.
Rabbi Yossef Cohen, the chairman of the “Hasdei Naomi” Organization indicates that the distribution center, which is operated in Holon – Bat Yam, is one of the 40 distribution centers, which are activated all over the country by the “Hasdei Naomi” Organization. Towards the Passover Holiday, from these centers the “Hasdei Naomi” Charity Organization has been distributing thousands of tons of kosher for Passover food products to thousands of needy families so they too may enjoy a more Happy Holiday.
