Hundreds of Children from Southern Israel Enjoy Fun Days at the Armonot Chen Banquet Halls
As part of the Chessed Eitan campaign announced last week by Chasdei Naomi, hundreds of children have been brought to the organization’s Armonot Chen banquet halls, where fun-filled, educational days were organized for them.
The children enjoyed playing in huge inflatable castles, and were treated to candy, popcorn, cotton candy, popsicles, and more …
Rabbi Yosef Cohen, chair of the prominent Chasdei Naomi charitable organization, is personally managing the huge Chessed Eitan campaign. In his words: “At this time, our hearts are with the residents of the south. We’ll do whatever we can to help these children.”
Chasdei Naomi volunteers are currently working overtime to distribute vast quantities of needed goods in southern Israel, and sometimes find themselves in the unpleasant situation of being at the site of a rocket strike; nevertheless, we hold fast to our belief that no harm comes to those engaged in the performance of mitzvot.
So as not to overburden the volunteers, Rabbi Cohen has undertaken to personally run day camps for the children of the south.
Chasdei Naomi sources note that, immediately following 17 Tammuz (the start of the three weeks leading up to Tisha B’Av, during which weddings are not held), the day camps will be able to accommodate significantly large numbers, and thousands of children are expected to participate in the camp activities.
