Hundreds of volunteers come to Chasdei Naomi’s logistical center in Tel Aviv to help pack the school bags
In preparation for the start of the school year and its many associated expenses, the prominent charitable organization Chasdei Naomi, with the help of donations, arranged the purchase of thousands of new school bags for children whose parents are unable to afford them.
The children also receive, packed into each school bag, a supply of notebooks, a pencil case, pens/pencils and all other supplies needed for school.
Hundreds of volunteers were mobilized for the task of packing and filling the school bags for the children designated to receive them.
Rabbi Yosef Cohen expressed satisfaction with the fact that, this year as in the past, he was able to see this highly beneficial project through to realization in advance of the school year, despite the heavy costs that it entails.
“Whenever I’m worried about how we’re going to fund such a project, I remember the tears of joy in the eyes of the children and I know we won’t give up,” Rabbi Cohen enthusiastically concluded.
