Tal Abitbol (Aged 15 years) is one of the five pupils who contracted the illness in her school. She was then seven years old. Three of them have already died of cancer. Last August there was an aggravation in her state of health and her only chance of being saved is to follow a chemotherapy radioactive treatment only practiced in San Francisco (U.S.A) The cost of this treatment is estimated at 80,000$.
These last weeks, the illness has spread and affected the liver, thus creating agonizing pains which can only be
calmed down with morphine. If she isn’t immediately taken over by generous benefactors, her state of health will go through a strong degeneration. In March 2006 “Yediot Aharonot”, the Israeli daily newspaper reported that five pupils from the same school had contracted cancer. A year ago, the third student of this group, Tamir Ohana, passed away. They were in the same department, and struggled against the illness together. Since then, Tal is quite upset about her next-door neighbour.
Today her plea is: “help me to overcome this illness, I want to see it far behind me, to wake up and find out that all this was only a bad dream!” Her family calls out to people’s generosity to contribute to the success of sending her speedily to get medical treatment in the U.S.A.
