When Adar Begins, Joy Increases: Chasdei Naomi’s in Preparation for Purim

Chasdei Naomi’s  is in peak preparations for Purim so that no family remains sad during the holiday.

The large charity organization is preparing extensively for the Purim holiday, with the goal of reaching every needy family and providing them with the means to celebrate the holiday with dignity. Thousands of needy children, orphans, widows, elderly, and families in distress are waiting for assistance that will enable them to prepare a Purim feast, dress up in costumes, and feel the holiday atmosphere in their homes.

Based on experience from previous years, many requests are received from families who lack the minimal means to celebrate Purim. For this purpose, the organization is launching a special fundraising campaign and is requesting public help in advance.

“When someone reaches out for help and has already overcome their shame, we try our best to help while respecting the recipients so that even in their immediate surroundings, people won’t notice they are receiving food from a charity organization,” explain the organization’s management.

Rabbi Moshe Cohen, CEO of Chasdei Naomi , notes that although the organization receives many requests throughout the year, there is a significant increase in demand before the holidays.

“This year we want to literally fulfill the law in the Shulchan Aruch: ‘Whoever extends their hand, we give to them,’ and for this purpose, we have launched a crowdfunding campaign that will allow us to reach the maximum number of families.”

Chasdei Naomi emphasizes that all donations for Purim are considered “gifts to the poor” (matanot la’evyonim) with great enhancement of the mitzvah and are delivered to those in need on the very same day – on Purim day.
