Chasdei Naomi is making special preparations
“A Little Warmth” campaign is underway
* Thousands of blankets and heaters are being distributed to the homes of those in need
* A special project will bring together volunteer electricians and needy families with electrical problems
At Chasdei Naomi, preparations have been completed ahead of the storm, and the “A Little Warmth” campaign is underway.
As part of this campaign, winter kits are being distributed to those in need, with blankets, gloves, scarves, and heaters.
The Chasdei Naomi management has decided to embark on particularly meaningful and massive activity this winter that will include thousands of needy children, elderly, and Holocaust survivors.
Throughout the storm Chasdei Naomi is providing the public with a hotline that will connect volunteer electricians with needy families.
“We saw that in previous storms, families of limited means were affected by electrical problems and were unable to pay an electrician for repairs. We decided to take action to help with this important matter, and thanks to good-hearted electricians around the country, we are trying to offer help here too, to the best of our ability.”
There is particularly intensive activity at the Jerusalem branch, and efforts are being made to reach all the needy households with equipment to enable them to keep their homes and their children warm during the cold days.
Hundreds of the branch’s volunteers, supported by additional volunteers, are working around the clock to help prepare for the campaign.
