Towards the thirtieth day after the passing away of the Righteous Rebbetzin Batsheva Kanievsky A”H, the hall, on the ground floor of the Banquet Halls “Armonot Chen” complex, will immortalize her memory and its name is now: “Batsheva’s Hall”
Rabbi Yossef Cohen the chairman of the “Hasdei Naomi” Organization explained why it
was not in vain that we decided to perpetuate the memory of the Rebbetzin A”H: “Every Saturday my wife, long may she live, used to pray the afternoon prayer with Rebbetzin Kanievsky. After the service when my wife requested a blessing, the Rebbetzin A”H blessed in particular the great charity acts done by the “Hasdei Naomi” Charity Organization and mostly the great charity that are conducted at the “Armonot Chen” Banquet Halls. So, as usual, last Saturday, just minutes before the candle of the daughters of Israel went out, the Rebbetzin A”H poured many blessings on the great privileges received at the Banquet Halls by organizing joyful ceremonies. Many of the privileges, she credited to the “Hasdei Naomi” Organization and to all the People of Israel through the joy of brides and grooms every night, and especially the joy of young men or women orphans.”
“On Saturday night, hearing the news of the death of the Rebbetzin A”H along with all of Israel, we wept over G-d Almighty’s burning fire. We then immediately decided that we shall chose and name the Banquet Halls after the Rebbetzin Batsheva A”H.”
“Rebbetzin Kanievsky A”H was known as a personality, who helps others with dedication and with great joy. It is only natural that a place, where every evening happy celebrations are organized, including ceremonies of orphaned brides and grooms, would be called after the name of the Rebbetzin for her everlasting soul and memory. We feel as though this was her will.”
Thus, Rabbi Cohen concluded. He added that once the sign was placed at the entrance of the Hall, the word got out, and everyone, who saw or only heard about the initiative, praised it. All said that indeed this was a worthy memorial for the Rebbetzin A”H, who was known for gladly encouraging all of the many, who turned to her for her advice and blessings.
