A holiday Meal For Holocaust Survivors and elderly people
Chasdei Naomi Association organized a particularly moving event for Holocaust survivors and the elderly in honor of the approaching holiday, Rosh Hashanah. The association arranged a festive meal, during which food baskets were also distributed to help them prepare a respectable holiday meal. The feast organized by Naomi’s Kindness brought joy and touched many elderly and Holocaust survivors who spend most of their time alone
Chasdei Naomi Activities for Rosh Hashana
In preparation for Rosh Hashanah, Chasdei Naomi Association led a special project aimed at bringing joy and easing the financial burden for many, including Holocaust survivors and the elderly. As part of the activity, the association organized a festive meal at the Warm House for lonely elderly and Holocaust survivors that is supported by the association.
The event’s main purpose was to cheer and encourage them, and additionally to distribute unique food baskets for Rosh Hashanah to ensure a respectable holiday meal .
Chasdei Naomi held the feast in collaboration between their association and the Warm House, a place that has served as a club for the elderly and Holocaust survivors for over 30 years. During the meal, participants blessed the traditional holiday symbols, such as pomegranate and apple in honey, to symbolize hope for a new year full of goodness and health. For many of the survivors, the event was a moment of warmth and support, bringing them into the special holiday atmosphere.
Beyond the festive meal that Chasdei Naomi prepared, they also distributed unique food baskets for Rosh Hashanah. These baskets will help the elderly and Holocaust survivors prepare a respectable holiday meal and enjoy the holiday like everyone else. The baskets included a variety of products allowing each participant to prepare their holiday meal at home. The distribution of these baskets is to provide real support to vulnerable populations who struggle with the high expenses of the holiday season
