Another heavy-duty truck has been added to Chasdei Naomi’s transport fleet. The 28-ton capacity truck will be useful in transporting goods from northern and southern Israel’s moshavim to the organization’s 6 logistical centers, from which items are then delivered to 40 distribution points throughout the country.
Rabbi Yosef Cohen, Chair of Chasdei Naomi, thanked the donors whose generosity made it possible to purchase the heavy-duty truck, adding that the amount of chessed (kind deeds) that can be credited to the donors is, in fact, incalculable.
“Unfortunately, requests for assistance are increasing; fortunately, however, there are good Jews who are willing to donate fruit, vegetables and other food products in substantial quantities. We’re doing everything we can to increase the volume of the donations that we distribute, and to
keep up with the rate of increase in the number of families in desperate need of food,” says Rabbi Cohen.
The new truck joins Chasdei Naomi’s 5 other
trucks and its many other vehicles involved day and night in food collection and distribution.
