As every year for the High Holidays, the “Hasdei Naomi” Charity Organization Volunteers, who today number more than 10,000 volunteers, have drafted themselves to fulfil the mission: Preparing food kits, which will be distributed to the needy. This year since Rosh Hashanah is next to the Shabboth and the holiday meals will continue for almost four days, food expenditure will be particularly expensive.
Accordingly,
to meet the large demand for help, which is expected this year in light of the difficult overall situation, volunteers of the “Hasdei Naomi” Charity Organization announced the opening of Operation “24X24”, in which volunteers will pack up boxes of food for the needy families 24 hours a day for 24 days until Rosh Hashanah – New Year.
The ambitious operation has been first performed in the logistic centres of the “Hasdei Naomi” Organization in Bnei – Brak and Jerusalem. Even before the beginning of the advertising campaign, many volunteers as well as groups of colleagues or family members have expressed their desire to take part in the project.
Rabbi Yossef Cohen, Chairman of the “Hasdei Naomi” Charity Organization said that the volunteers’ activity at the “Hasdei Naomi” Organization is at the heart of the huge array of activity and providing food to 40 distribution points across the country to thousands of needy families. “I urge everyone, who can lend a hand and volunteer for a few hours prior to Rosh Hashanah – New Year, to finish the old Year and open the New Year with a good deed of helping others.”
Volunteers (individuals or groups) interested in volunteering to take part in the project “24X24” are invited to contact the “Hasdei Naomi” Charity Organization national center through the Hotline at 972-3-677-777
