On the “International Day for the Eradication of Poverty”, the volunteers from the great “Hasdei
Naomi” Charity Organization have inaugurated an emergency storage, which will supply food products to the needy day and night at all hours.
The “International Day for the Eradication of Poverty” was marked this last Tuesday (19th of October), and brought again to the media headlines the bleak condition of poverty, with which numerous families are faced: they can barely cope with the lack of basic food products for their children and for themselves. Whilst at the Knesset, the Israeli Parliament, members sat at numerous committees on the poverty status in Israel and gave plenty of speeches on the subject, the “Hasdei Naomi” Organization volunteers chose that day to officially inaugurate the Organization first emergency storage, which, if necessary, will supply food products to the 40 food distribution centers, which are operated by the “Hasdei Naomi” Organization all around the country.
The volunteers, in charge of the emergency storage, will operate it most of the hours day and night, in such a way that, when needed, they should supply some 500 food products packages per day to any location requested from “The Hasdei Naomi” food distribution centers scattered throughout the country.
The Chairman of “THE HASDEI NAOMI” ORGANIZATION Rabbi Yossef Cohen said: “I urge everyone, who has in his hands the possibility to donate or to volunteer, to do so right now. Every donation or act of volunteering means one less hungry child.”
