Volunteering in Memory of Deputy Commander Hadas Baranz
In the shooting attack last September, Hadas Baran fell.
In her memory, police officers from the Desk Course at the National Police College dedicated a day of volunteering at Chasdei Naomi.
Police officers from the Basic Desk Course, Batch 22, from the National Police College in Beit Shemesh arrived at Chasdei Naomi in Jerusalem to pack food baskets for needy families, elderly, and Holocaust survivors supported by the organization.
They dedicated this day to the memory of Police Deputy Commander Hadas Baranz from Sde Moshe, one of three police officers who fell in the attack that occurred on 1.9.24 near the Tarkomiya checkpoint on their way to work .
At the beginning of Hadas’s police career, she started as an intelligence assessment desk officer in the Lahav Regional Unit, where she significantly contributed to fighting serious crime and regional crime organizations. After about a decade, she moved to the Unit for Fighting Crime in the Judea and Samaria region, where she initially served as an intelligence desk officer until about two years ago when she received command of the unit’s desk department.
Coral Kasuto Lev, a trainee in the course, said: “We were fortunate to arrive at Chasdei Naomi Jerusalem to contribute to the community, help pack food baskets, and dedicate this day to the elevation of the soul of Deputy Commander Hadas Baranz, a desk police officer, may God avenge her blood, who fell in a shooting attack while fulfilling her duty. It was amazing, we thank you for this place, such an important place, where we are always on the giving side.”
Moshe Cohen, CEO of Chasdei Naomi, thanked the police officers for the moving day and said: “Israel Police and the Police College in Beit Shemesh regularly collaborate with the Hasde Naomi organization throughout the year, helping both in packing and transporting baskets directly to the homes of those in need. This initiative, dedicated to the memory of Deputy Commander Hadas Baranz , demonstrates the commitment of security forces not only to law enforcement but also to strengthening the community and supporting vulnerable populations.
