This week Chasdei Naomi received a particularly moving letter from a couple of orphans who got married in Armonot Chen free of charge, and even received help in the form of household goods and clothing for the wedding. This week on the occasion of the birth of their first child, they sent a moving letter to Chasdei Naomi listing all the hessed they received and emphasizing the opportunity they were given to begin their new life from an equal starting point, which has enabled them to build a wonderful home and family.
Chasdei Naomi is now summing up the cost of weddings in the Armonot Chen wedding halls in 2013. The amazing figures show 701 subsidized weddings, and another 124 weddings of orphans which took place at no cost to the couple.
Rabbi Yosef Cohen, Chair of Chasdei Naomi: “When we opened the halls we understood the great need that exists and the great help that could develop from this, but we did not dream that there would be such huge numbers. This is an output of an unprecedented scale and I thank the Creator that we are able to provide all this help, thanks to the goodhearted people, our wide circle of donors, who are one big family– the Chasdei Naomi family.”
