Sale of Chametz, Congratulations on 40 Years of Activity and Meeting with the Minister of Interior – A Day of Accomplishments in Jerusalem for the Passover Holiday

Chairman of Chasdei Naomi Conducted the Sale of Chametz with the Chief Rabbi of Israel and Met with the Minister of Interior

Rabbi Yosef Cohen, Chairman and Founder of ‘ Chasdei Naomi ‘charity organization, along with the organization’s CEO, Rabbi Moshe Cohen, visited the Chief Rabbi of Rishon LeZion and Chief Rabbi of Israel, Rabbi David Yosef , to conduct the sale of chametz (leavened products) according to all the rules of Jewish law. The Chief Rabbi welcomed the two warmly, listened to their presentation, and reviewed the scope of the organization’s activities ahead of the Passover holiday.

During the visit, Rabbi Yosef Cohen described the quantities of chametz that are collected and transferred for sale through thousands of collection points across the country, where the public donates food that is sorted and distributed to those in need after Passover. The Chief Rabbi of Rishon LeZion was impressed by the scope of activities, blessed the commendable work of Chasdei Naomi organization, and even added a special letter of blessing marking the organization’s 40 years of activity, which he called “a great merit of indescribable kindness.” Rabbi Yosef Cohen emotionally thanked him for the warm embrace and blessings, and wished the Chief Rabbi long life and good health.

Additionally, during his stay in Jerusalem, Rabbi Yosef Cohen took the opportunity to meet with the Minister of Interior, Rabbi Moshe Arbel. During the meeting, he presented to the Minister the extensive activities of Chasdei Naomi throughout the year – serving needy families, the elderly, Holocaust survivors, and other populations in complex economic situations. The meeting was particularly moving, with the Minister expressing deep appreciation for the blessed activities, and the two exchanged words of blessing and encouragement.
