The minister for welfare MR. YITZHAK HERZOG was given a comprehensive review on the “THE HASDEI NAOMI” ORGANIZATION activities in general and in particular on the deployment before the coming Holidays, with the activation of 40 food distribution centers to the thousands of needy families from all around the country.
The Chairman Rabbi Yossef Cohen and other senior members of “THE HASDEI NAOMI” ORGANIZATION had a special meeting this week with THE MINISTER FOR WELFARE MR. YITZHAK HERZOG, in his Offices in Jerusalem.
Right at the beginning of the meeting, MINISTER HERZOG said that he knows and appreciates “THE HASDEI NAOMI” extensive and important activities for the benefit of the needy, nonetheless the MINISTER asked to hear more and learn from first hand on the scope of activities and on the diversified ways with which “THE HASDEI NAOMI” ORGANIZATION helps the thousands of needy families from all circles and all sectors around the country.
The representatives of “THE HASDEI NAOMI” presented to the MINISTER the fields of activities of the ORGANIZATION, starting with the enormous extent of food distribution, monthly financial support
of widows and orphans, organizing the marriages of orphan grooms and brides, or help with clothes within the frame of the “CHARITY NETTO” project.
The representatives also told the MINISTER that this year all the distribution centers have started the food packing and distribution for the New Year well in advance and have made the proper arrangements to enlarge the distribution in view of the expected growth in demand before the Holidays.
At the end of the meeting, The Chairman of “THE HASDEI NAOMI” ORGANIZATION Rabbi Yossef Cohen blessed THE MINISTER FOR WELFARE MR. YITZHAK HERZOG with the COHEN’ S BENEDICTION [Ritual priestly benediction] and gave him this BENEDICTION printed in a special reprint as a memento.
